Abstract:
We report on the fabrication and experimental demonstration of an integrated distributed feedback grating device operating in the 1500 nm telecommunication window.
The guiding structure is realized with a DANS side-chain substituted polymer and operates as a Bragg reflector with an 8 nm bandwidth.
Via the thermo-optic effect it also exhibits intensity-dependent switching when excited near the resonant wavelength, with transmission switching up to half of its maximum linear value.
