Abstract:

Fully three-dimensional spatial solitons in bulk nematic liquid crystals form self-consistent waveguides able to confine a weak, collinear co-polarized signal at a different wavelength and with large trapping angles. We use a mW (cw) source to generate a soliton and, upon angular steering, spatially re-address the guided signal.
