Beam pointing control with spatial solitary waves in quadratic nonlinear media

We numerically investigate the effects of an input tilt on the propagation of spatial solitary waves due to vectorial ĞeoeĞ interactions for second harmonic generation. The effects on the angular steering obtainable by an input imbalance between polarizations are discussed. Schemes for improved beam pointing stability against power fluctuations and wavefront tilts are also addressed.
