Spatial solitons and parametric effects in ferroelectrics



Theoretical and experimental investigation of parametric (three-waves) effects in ferroelectric quadratic crystals, including cascading, spatial optical solitons, second-harmonic generation, 1D and 2D photonic crystals/lattices of nonlinear origin via quasi-phase-matched interaction in proton exchanged, reverse proton exchanged, poled, surface poled Lithium Niobate and Lithium Tantalate samples. Current goals include backward second harmonic generation, UV wavelength and Terahertz generation.
